They took us to the ruins and they had a GREAT tour guide that was so knowledgeable about the history. We had fruit and pastry for breakfast and drinks. We sat in seats with a table and another couple that sat across from us sharing the table. The provided exactly what they described! A comfortable luxury bus. Then we went further and booked thru them to go to Chichen Itza. We went through them to go parasailing at our hotel.which was AMAZING! Incredible views of the ocean/beach front. After being dropped off at our hotel, we found out that they had a Best Day Travel stationed within our hotel at the Hyatt Zilara. We used Best Day Travel to pick us up from the airport. Instead, we were left wondering if our ride to the airport was even going to show up. Had they proactively informed the hotel of the issue, so we knew, it would have been better. I was so disappointed to end my trip like that. Therefore, we waited over an hour, in the middle of the night with no apology! It was our last night of vacation and we woke up at 2:30 am to wait around. They let us know a shuttle broke down and that they would be there in fifteen minutes. Finally, at 4 AM, I got on the phone and they actually looked into the issue. They continued to assure him they were five minutes away. Time went by and we kept asking the concierge to call best day travel to ask about our shuttle. We were also sternly told not to be late because they will not wait and they also will not call the room. We were told we had to be in the lobby at 3:10 AM, yes that early. The return trip to the airport, though, was brutal. That was okay though, because it was the beginning of our vacation. When we arrived, we were excited to get to our hotel since we landed after 11 pm and were disappointed that our pre booked shuttle made us wait over thirty minutes. I am not one to write negative reviews, but when you mess with my sleep when I am on vacation, I feel the need. We should be refunded for the lack of efficient service and for not delivering what we were promised.
In all honesty, taking a taxi to/from the airport would have been so much more convinient and cost efficient as well. They had a "oh well, sorry" attitude and that was that. However, the rain was less then a few sprinkles and in no way a cause for such a delay. We were told that is was due to the rain. By 10:55am they finally arrived with a large group from another hotel. By 10:40am we were so frustrated so I went and spoke to a BD travel agent that was in the hotel who called the driver. At 10:15am the company called the hotel lobby to tell us that they were running about 10 minutes late.
#BEST DAY CANCUN AIRPORT SHUTTLE PLUS#
On the way back to the airport we were told that they would be picking us up at 10:20am plus or minus 10 minutes so be at the lobby at 10am. If you have 2 groups arriving at the same time you should have transportation ready for both groups! After about a 35 minute wait our transportation finally arrived. When asked where our car was, we were told that there was another group that came at the same time so they took them to their hotel and should be returning shortly. So we waited and waited and waited in the hot muggy heat for 30 minutes. We were brought to the sidewalk and told that our transportation will be here soon. The whole trip was wonderful except for our airport transfer both ways! When we landed we were greeted by a BD travel agent.
